Account deletion

You can delete your account and every piece of data it stores on our servers, at any time.

Delete from the app (all account types)

Open Fokus IO, go to Settings, scroll to the Danger Zone section, and tap Delete Account & Data. Confirm the prompt.

Parent and solo accounts are deleted immediately. Linked child accounts are scheduled for deletion 48 hours later, and the request can be cancelled from the same screen at any point during that window. Supervision stays fully active for those 48 hours — deletion is not a way to end supervision early.

What gets deleted

Deleting an account permanently removes everything the servers hold for it:

  • The account profile — email (if any), display name, password hash.
  • For a parent: every linked child’s family membership, synced statistics, Shield configuration, stored location, site-domain history and pending remote commands.
  • For a linked child: its own synced statistics, stored location, site-domain history and pending commands.
  • Authentication and session credentials, so the deleted account cannot be signed back into.

What deletion does not undo

It does not undo anything already visible to a linked family member before deletion — a parent who already saw a location reading keeps having seen it.

It also does not affect data that stayed on the device and was never uploaded (see the privacy policy, sections 2 and 8); uninstalling the app removes that.

Requesting deletion without the app installed

Parent accounts sign up with an email address. If you no longer have the app installed, email s.mohsunlu.dev@gmail.com from that same address and ask us to delete your account; we verify the request against the address on file and confirm once it is done.

Child and solo accounts have no email address or password — the account itself is the only credential that can prove who it belongs to, by design, so nobody, including us, can verify a deletion request for one made through any other channel.

A child account linked to a family can be removed from the parent’s side by unlinking it from the parent dashboard, which immediately deletes that child’s synced statistics, location and site-domain history. The child’s own device data is removed by uninstalling the app, or by using Delete Account & Data from that device as in step 1.
